"Crafting Nature: The Artistic Journey of a Jewelry Designer"
Personal Background and Inspiration
How did you start your journey as a jewelry artist?
It all began when I ordered polymer clay and invited a friend who also loves crafts to join me. From that playful and creative afternoon, my first jewelry collection was born.
What inspires you the most in your work?
In my creations, I draw inspiration from nature and the beauty of materials. Nature is the greatest artist; each stone, every texture, tells its own story and invites me to explore and develop it further.
Have you had any mentors or role models who have influenced you?
Honestly, I haven't had any specific mentors. I consider myself more of a solitary traveler, whose inspiration comes primarily from within and the creative path I follow.
I wouldn’t say my background has directly influenced my work, but I’ve always enjoyed making things with my hands. When I was home with my first child, I found the perfect opportunity to dive into crafting.
Creative Process
Describe your typical creative process from start to finish.
My creative process always starts with the material that inspires me, whether it’s a beautiful stone or a unique texture. I visualize the main idea in my mind, but it never stays static. Throughout the process, the design evolves and changes as I discover new possibilities and creative solutions.
Where do the ideas for your jewelry designs come from?
Ideas come to me when I pick up a material or see something captivating that I want to transform in my own way. Sometimes I walk through the forest and design jewelry in my head, thinking through all the little details.
What materials and techniques do you use most frequently, and why?
My favorite metal is rose gold with its soft, feminine pink hue, whether polished or matte. I love working with raw diamonds because each one is unique and demands a special approach. The techniques I use are classic, involving soldering and hammering the metal into shape.
Do you have a favourite tool or material to work with?
My favourite tools are the hammer, pliers, and fire—all essential for shaping gold.
Challenges and Lessons
What has been your biggest challenge as a jewelry artist so far?
My biggest challenge has been the business side of things. For me, creating is like meditation, but the more I try to find ways to make my art sustainable, the more distant I feel from the creative flow.
What has been your most fulfilling project or creation?
The most fulfilling moments are when a design I’ve envisioned in my head finally becomes a reality.
What lessons have you learned throughout your career?
I’m still on the learning path, constantly opening myself up to new experiences and skills. Speed matters, but even more important is trusting your gut and letting your intuition lead.
How do you overcome creative blocks or a lack of inspiration?
When I feel my creative energy is gone, I escape to the forest. Sometimes a day in nature is enough; other times, I need a longer break to restore my inspiration.
Business Aspects
How do you market and sell your jewelry? Do you have any specific strategies?
I stumbled upon the platform Etsy when searching for a market, and from there, things took off. I haven't used formal strategies yet, but with my team, we're moving in that direction.
What advice do you have for beginners looking to start their own jewelry business?
Every beginner should first find what truly warms their heart. Whether it’s the beauty of materials or the creative process itself, that passion should be the guiding force. It's essential to create value.
How do you stay updated with jewelry and fashion trends?
There hasn’t been much need to keep up with trends since I don’t produce fast fashion but rather timeless art.
Future Plans and Dreams
What are your future plans and goals as a jewelry artist?
My goal is to reach more people while staying true to my style, enriching it with new skills and techniques. I want every piece to tell its own story and touch people in theirs.
Is there a special project or idea you'd like to pursue in the future?
I dream of opening eMeraki jewelry salons in major cities across Europe and the U.S., filled with people who appreciate art.
What is your dream collaboration?
My dream collaboration would be one where I can quickly bring my ideas to life with the help of someone who shares my passion and vision. Creativity flourishes in synergy!
Personal Life
How do you balance work and personal life?
Balance is overrated; it’s a constant process. To do something big or commit to something fully, you always have to give something up.
What are your hobbies or interests outside of jewelry making?
I love spending time in nature and capturing its beauty. I also enjoy adventures in the forest with my family, riding machines or go-karts.
Community and Impact
How do you connect with your clients and fans?
I’m always deeply flattered when someone shows interest in my creations. While excessive communication isn’t my style, I cherish every moment when I can share my passion with others.
What kind of impact do you hope to have with your work?
I hope to bring the character of the world back into the realm of jewelry with my designs.
What advice would you give to your younger self or aspiring jewelry artists?
Speed matters, but never forget that passion must be behind every creation. Create at your own pace, trust your instincts, and stay open to new experiences. Is there anything else you'd like to share with our readers?
The only thing I want to share is this: stay open and follow your passion.
